Renault has picked up the promising talent Owen Fjeldsted from the fledgling Midland F1 team. Fjeldsted is known for his ties to RacedayRC.com but the team has made clear this is not a paid driver position. Fjeldsted amassed 25 points in just 5 races coming to SLCF1 mid-season to take a solid 7th place in the championship ahead of rival BMW Sauber. This puts Renault back in the fight for the constructors championship in 2007.
